Special K!

OK, I've over-done over-doing it, and I've got some pounds to shed. Has anyone done the Special K diet thing? I love cereal, and I especially like the protein waters and bars that they do. They're great before teaching or working out!
Please send positive thoughts out to all who are embarking on a "resolution", or just trying to change something in their lives.

Dear Iffet,
I think you can wear white all year round, although for me it's not the best color to show off my figure. I am self conscious about panty lines showing. And I don't like wearing a thong. Winter white is such a warm shade, on the creamy side. I have a couple of sweaters that I wear in winter, even though I look 10 pounds heavier. I do a lot of public singing, and often toyed with the idea of buying a white sequence gown. What do you think, especially since I am an older woman?

Dear Iffet,
Cereal for dinner sounds gross, but is actually good for you. My husband and I are both retired and here's our 3 meal a day plan: Light breakfast, big dinner around 1:00 pm, and cereal or very light snack around 7:00 pm. Even when we go out to eat, we like to go to restaurants that have "Early Bird" menus. Special K cereal is one of my favorites for a light breakfast. I try to drink water throughout the day, and I do weight bearing exercises. Still not sold on Yoga, though, but Zumba is fun, and easy to learn.

Thanks for your input, Josie! I'd rather do a big meal in the afternoon, but with two kids and a husband who works all day, dinner in the evening is get-together time, so we eat big then! I went to the store and got all different kinds of the Special K cereals, so I've got lots of variety.

Dear Iffet,
After clicking on the link, I tried to read the excerpts of "The Bhagavad Gita",and came up with the following summary: Arjuna, the great warrior,upon seeing his relatives standing across the road in a line with swords and chariots, asks (forgot) the King's name, not to fight, and instead, to spend time in yoga meditation. In the following chapters, Krishna reveals his/her divine teachings. Then, Arjuna, convinced, prepares to go to battle without reservations. To be honest, I clicked on the "Gita" in pictures, which was easier to follow. It seems Krishna, or God, looks feminine, has 4 arms, with a garland around his/her neck.
Difficult reading, but interesting.
